Exciting developments in the regeneration of Whitehill & Bordon
To keep you up-to-date with news and developments in Whitehill & Bordon we have a new monthly blog from the Prince Philip Park team. Thanks to Natalie and Christine for this first update.

The regeneration of Whitehill & Bordon has continued at pace, despite the outbreak of Coronavirus and its impacts, with lots of activity happening behind the scenes

The development of the first buildings in the new town centre is progressing well and we will update residents and businesses regularly each month about our plans. We are aware that people's shopping habits are changing due to the pandemic and we will adapt our plans for retail accordingly. However, we aim to have a variety of retailers and shops open in the town centre providing essential, everyday items for residents and workers in the town.

At the heart of the town centre will be the Makers Market, which is set to open in spring 2021. It will provide a vibrant, alternative retail, business and food offering, with entertainment, street food and covered market facilities. We plan to hold an outdoor market and a range of events in the town centre at Easter next year for the community to come together and enjoy.

Work has also progressed on the new leisure centre and the facility is expected to open in November, permitting government restrictions related to coronavirus.

Cafe Hogmoor including the Beehive Education Room at Hogmoor Inclosure will open to the public from Saturday 18th July for take away services for the time being. More information about the opening can be found on the Community Trust Facebook page https://wbcommunitytrust.co.uk/

A wide range of new homes are available to purchase or rent in the town. Taylor Wimpey are currently selling the remaining new homes on the first phase of Dukes Quarter, including two-bedroom apartments, a two-bedroom coach house, and three-bedroom houses. The second phase of Dukes Quarter, visible from Budds Lane, will launch for sale in the autumn, with the first homes completed later this year.
