SiGNAL is part of the exciting regeneration of Whitehill & Bordon which includes a brand new town centre.
Work is underway to create a modern development of shops, cafes, community space and workspace for small businesses that will provide a focal point for everyone in the town. Entertainment venues, a Makers Market and SiGNAL's coworking and small business workspace will sit side-by-side with retail and residential space.
Our workspace is close to where the new town centre is being constructed and in a few years time we will be moving into a new building in the heart of the scheme. Here is a bird's-eye view of the current SiGNAL HQ:
An important part of what we do at SiGNAL is community building. This involves building relationships with the wider community, local organisations, charity groups and our local councillors.
During lockdown we've been busy reaching out to people in Whitehill & Bordon with the launch of SiGNAL Radio on Facebook. Every Tuesday our presenters (Stuart Morrison and Gareth Turner) interview someone from the local community so we can all learn more about them and their organisation, business or cause. Tune in at 12pm on Tuesday by visiting our Facebook page here >
To give you an idea of what SiGNAL Radios is all about, here's a recent interview with Janet Duggan from Community First:
“The delivery of a high quality new town centre will be a huge landmark for the regeneration of Whitehill & Bordon. It will bring new jobs and leisure options to the area and will become the heartbeat of the town."
James Child, Project Lead - W&B Regeneration Company
Town centre opening from 2021
The town centre will open in stages with the Makers Market opening in July 2021. Here you'll be able to buy everything from street food to crafts and antiques, and indoor market will include an event space and cafe.
With the opening of the new SiGNAL site (date TBC) micro and small businesses will be in the heart of the town centre. Our coworking, multifunctional shared workspaces and flexible office space will provide local businesses with a convenient and central home in Whitehill & Bordon. Helping put their businesses on the map and opening up more opportunities to reach customers and be part of our vibrant community.

"I have my desk at Signal so I can work in a peaceful and friendly environment. I have a great desk where I can work, and then I can always talk to other residents, co-workers and get the office "buzz". Everyone is always so positive and always have great discussions there. And at the moment in these difficult times everyone is pulling together, there is lots of information out there and we are trying to help each other like our local communities. Thank you Signal for giving us that platform."
