Nothing could have prepared us for the last 18 months.

Back at the start of 2020 we had a whole calendar of events laid out before us, with speakers and venues booked, guests registered, and content planned.

When lockdown hit, we were due to be launching LinkedIn Local, an opportunity to take your LinkedIn connections offline and meet in-person. So, when we were forced to take refuge in our homes, LinkedIn Local was not an ideal online event, far from it.

At SiGNAL, we, like everyone, had to adjust and for us, that meant all of our tenants had to work from home, our events moved online, and our team went remote.

LinkedIn Local, whilst online, has been a real testament to those who attended for making it work. The whole idea was to take people offline and meet in-person, so a huge thank you and well done for everyone who has continued to come along online. We were pleased to have our first in-person LinkedIn Local in July at Alton’s Ten Tun Tap House and it was truly fantastic to finally meet up. BiZHUB was a different challenge, this well-established series of events each month had a loyal membership base, along with several newcomers for each guest speaker, so transforming this into an online offering was no easy task. Stuart and Louise took the helm and, thanks to the wonders of modern-day technology, managed to host all the events, not quite as planned, but almost!

From introductions and the usual “meet and greet” start, to guest speakers, Q&As, workbooks, and collaborations, everyone got ‘stuck in’ and involved.

Now that BiZHUB and LinkedIn Local are back in the room, we wanted to take this opportunity to say a big thank you for sticking with us. We know it wasn’t always easy, but we hope that given the circumstances, our online sessions helped to keep you involved with our business community and inspired amidst an understandably challenging time.
